Description
A senior Ottoman official and ruler of the town, the Vizier represents Ottoman authority and, more broadly, every form of power. His serious, stern manner, pompous speech and deep voice convey his official position. The puppet depicts him as imposing and majestic, dressed in rich clothing. At times he is patient and respected, with a sense of justice towards his people. In heroic plays he becomes harsh, tyrannical and bloodthirsty.
